Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how SP SWE Services Ltd handles information for BirthSound: Hypnobirthing. BirthSound provides hypnobirthing and birth-preparation audio for iOS.
Information you provide
BirthSound does not require you to create an account. If you contact us for support, we may receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, device details, screenshots, or a description of the issue.
Information stored on your device
The app stores your preparation preferences, selected audio, playback progress, downloads, reminder settings, subscription-access state, and contraction-timer history on your device. This can include contraction start and end times, corrections, and statistics calculated from that history. BirthSound uses this information on your device to provide your plan, timer, guidance, and offline listening.
You can clear this local app data from BirthSound settings, remove individual downloads, or delete the app. BirthSound does not send contraction times, pregnancy stage, birth path, urgent-labour activity, or the titles of sensitive guided tracks to its product-analytics or advertising partners.
Subscriptions and purchases
BirthSound uses Apple in-app purchase, RevenueCat, and Stripe to process purchases and manage subscription entitlements. App Store purchases are charged through your Apple ID and App Store account. Web checkout purchases are processed by Stripe through RevenueCat Billing. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
RevenueCat receives an app customer identifier, purchase and subscription status, product information, and attribution identifiers used to administer access, restore purchases, prevent duplicate subscription reporting, and measure whether acquisition leads to subscriptions. RevenueCat may send subscription lifecycle events to our configured analytics and attribution providers. Raw Apple transaction identifiers are not sent by the app to PostHog, AppsFlyer, or Meta.
In-app product analytics
BirthSound uses PostHog's EU service to understand whether essential product flows work, such as onboarding, audio starting, paywall display, checkout starting, restore outcomes, and coarse timer use. PostHog assigns a pseudonymous identifier and receives allow-listed event details together with ordinary technical information such as app version, device and operating-system information, IP address, and timestamps. We use the same identifier in RevenueCat so subscription lifecycle events can be joined to the product funnel.
In-app PostHog session replay, automatic screen and element capture, surveys, and application-lifecycle capture are disabled. BirthSound excludes pregnancy stage, birth path, contraction timing history, urgent-labour activity, contact details, raw errors, transaction identifiers, and sensitive guided-track identifiers from PostHog events.
Install and advertising measurement
BirthSound uses Apple AdServices and SKAdNetwork for privacy-preserving attribution. AppsFlyer starts when the app is activated and uses an AppsFlyer installation identifier, device and connection information, attribution data, and a small set of non-revenue funnel events to measure installs and campaign quality. BirthSound passes the AppsFlyer identifier to RevenueCat before checkout. The app does not send pregnancy or contraction details to AppsFlyer.
Meta app-event measurement, the advertising identifier, and self-reported acquisition sharing are enabled only if you allow tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you deny or later revoke permission, Meta measurement and advertising-identifier collection remain disabled. Purchases, restore, the contraction timer, and product analytics continue to work without that permission. BirthSound does not sell personal information.
Audio hosting
BirthSound's catalogue and onboarding configuration are fetched from our website, and hosted audio may be downloaded or streamed from Supabase public storage. These requests can reveal the requested file or catalogue route and involve ordinary connection information such as IP address, device or browser request metadata, timestamps, and access logs handled by the hosting provider. Downloaded audio is stored on your device until you remove it, clear app data, or delete the app.
Website and web checkout
The contraction-timer page uses PostHog's EU service to record a page load and App Store button selection with a new random identifier for each page load. It does not store that identifier in your browser, create a reusable person profile, use session replay, or send contraction information to PostHog.
The web purchase funnel keeps quiz answers in browser memory for the current visit. It does not send those answers to advertising providers or checkout. Advertising storage and the Meta Pixel stay off unless you choose to allow them. If allowed, the funnel may use a first-party session identifier, campaign parameters, Meta click identifiers, and Meta cookies for attribution. Web purchases are processed by Stripe through RevenueCat Billing; Stripe receives the payment, contact, device, and transaction information required for checkout, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
Device features and sharing
Practice reminders are scheduled locally through Apple's notification service. Partner-support Live Activities are created on the device without remote push updates. If you use a Share button, iOS sends the selected contraction summary or partner-support link only to the app or person you choose; BirthSound does not receive the shared content. App Clip links expose the selected partner-cue identifier to iOS and the referring browser so the requested cue can open.
Medical information
BirthSound is wellness and birth-preparation audio, not medical advice. Do not send urgent medical information through support email. If you are worried about your health or your baby's health, contact your maternity care team or emergency services immediately.
Data retention
- Local app data remains until you clear it, remove the relevant download, or delete the app.
- Our operating limit for in-app PostHog product analytics is seven years, with earlier deletion when a matched privacy request is completed or the analytics project is closed.
- AppsFlyer states that aggregated data is retained for up to 25 months. User-level periods vary by advertising partner; its current published limits include 13 months for TikTok-attributed data and no automatic partner limit for Apple Search Ads data. Data without an automatic limit is deleted when a matched privacy request is completed or the service project is closed.
- Meta's current Business Tools terms limit Event Data retention to two years.
- Our current Supabase plan makes request logs available for seven days. Audio files remain hosted until replaced or removed from the catalogue.
- RevenueCat retains customer and purchase records to provide subscription services and deletes customer data when we complete a matched deletion request, subject to legal and backup obligations. Stripe generally retains end-customer payment data for at least five years after the business relationship or last transaction where required for payment, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations. Apple retains App Store records under its own policies.
- Support and privacy messages are deleted within 24 months after the conversation is closed unless a longer period is required for a legal claim or record-keeping obligation.
Your choices
- You can clear local app data from BirthSound settings, remove downloads, or delete the app.
- You can allow or deny tracking when iOS asks, and change that choice later in iOS Settings.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store account settings.
- You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion. Because BirthSound does not require an account, we may need a provider identifier or purchase information to locate records without exposing another person's data.
- You can contact us about privacy questions at privacy@aichemyapp.com.
